I haven't been on here in sooo long, just to let everyone know who know's me on here, Kandee is doing soooooo great in her training...she is going to her first schooling show for dressage YAY!!!! My trainer is going to ride her. Just to update you guys we switched barns and now she is at a much better facility where she gets turned out every day for about 5 hours. So she is verrry happy lol. Anyways my question for you guys is do you braid for a dressage schooling show or not? I've been to a couple of schooling shows but I can't recall whether or not the horses were braided or not. Okay thanks,

a neatly pulled mane will do just fine. i believe even in upper leval dressage its becomming more common to see the horses more natural, manes pulled neatly...even the whiskers being left unclipped someone told me.

It probably isn't required to braid for a schooling dressage show, but it is a nice thing to do. If you can do a decent braid job and your horse has a nice neck, the braids will show it off better.
