Hi All,

Are there any trainers that teach Heather's methods in the US? I like what I read here, and am a beginner rider, so would like to get started right. I am near LA in California. I also wouldn't mind traveling for a seminar- however going to England "just to learn how to ride" would send my husband into fits. He already thinks I'm a bit crazy to want to pay to take lessons. He doesn't know I'm planning on much more in the future!

Thanks!

There are no EE trainers -- yet -- in the UK, apart from Heather and Sue, let alone in the US! However, Heather is hoping to come to the US in early 2002, certainly coming to Colorado where we hope to put together a clinic. Email me privately if you're interested in coming.

I went to Devon in May to do just what you want to do, and I have lots of photos on my web site to show just what we did, and I also have a write-up of my experience. It was well worth the trip and I'd recommend that anyone go who can! Or come to Colorado next year and help make the clinic a reality!

Your pictures on your website are awsome! You caught some of them at good moments (when they're off the ground, mid-buck, etc). Your horses are so beautiful! I like the picture of Comet bucking and G'Donya standing in the background with her ears back! :D

I would go if Heather came to the US to do a clinic, but sadly my parents probably wouldn't let me travel all the way to Colorado during the school year to "just ride horses". But hey, you never know! Maybe Heather will stop by Canada...!

Thanks Maci!!! I'm lucky with my "boys" -- glad you enjoyed the photos. Did you see the ones of my time at Heather's? For a trail rider I didn't think they were half bad! It was a great opportunity to ride several well trained horses, especially her Prix St. Georges horse, Ringo.

I don't know what Heather's itinerary will be, but you never know -- the squeaking wheel and all that....?!

Hi Christina,

Thanks for the reply. I would definitly be interested in a seminar if Heather is going to be in the US. I have family in Denver, so Colorado wouldn't be too much of a stretch! I'll email you also, but thought I'd reply here as well to hopely boost interest in Heather's US tour.

Hi Nancy -- I realize now that I didn't switch on my email availability, but hopefully it's done now -- it took me a while to figure out! Anyway, people can reach me privately at christuris@hotmail.com to register their interest about Heather's tour. We have absolutely NO details yet, or even if there will be a clinic. The more interest that is shown this early, the more likely it is that we can have one.

If there's serious interest, it would be helpful to have people's email address, name and telephone numbers, location, whether they'd like to bring a horse or not, etc....

If enough people show an interest now, Heather might be able to plan her tour a bit better, assuming she's able to come. We have tentatively talked about January, which is when the National Western Stock Show is going on, if that's of any interest. But don't count on anything at this point!
