Does anyone have Muck Boots? They're the ones which are half riding boot/half neoprene. I'm thinking of buying some and wondered what people's experiences of them were.

I have a pair and don't wear them...they're heavy and cumbersome. Great for wading through tiny puddles, but as soon as you get proper rain, long boots are better! :)

The ones I was looking at were long boots. Maybe there are two types.

edit: here they are (just found them) - http://www.tds-saddlers.com/ProductDetails.asp?PCLinkID=5548

They look like a cross between wellies and long riding boots :) My muckers are ankle length.

I have a pair of the riding boots (the ones you are looking at), a pair of the mid calf wellies and a pair of the short riding boots. I adore them all, they are really comfy. I like the fact you can wade through the mud in the field then come in and hose them down and you are ready to go. They are quite warm though, fantastic in the winter you will never get cold feet again. But are a bit warm for during the summer.

I've got some, they are brilliant for winter. They are really warm, the only boots I've found so far that didn't let me have frozen toes at all, even after spending most of the day stood in cold or frozen mud. I've got the ones you can ride in and they are better than wellies or rubber boots to ride in but are a bit stiff around the ankles. Well worth putting up with that to be able to still feel my toes at the end of a ride though!

I ordered mine from James Howard Equestrian - £54.99 and free p&p. Just guessed the size, but they fit perfectly!

Comfy, warm, hardwearing, good for wading or riding - maybe not glamorous but wouldn't be without them in colder weather. Bit smelly, but you can take the insole out and wash it. I bought a pair year before last, and our whole stable is followed suit. A++++

I have the Tyne Muck Boots - the ones you can ride in as well. They are great in winter - only things that keep my toes warm, I'm hoping they have a few years left but will certainly be buying another pair.

I love mine, I have the tyne muck boots as well with the top arch thing so they look ok when you ride. No need for thick socks either, never buying anything else ever again! :)
