Nice pics, is that some type of treeless saddle? What did you think of it?

Yea its a silverline tack treeless saddle I got off ebay.
Its not too bad, I had to add my own knee rolls and so went with the huge ansur ones I have. Seems a lot better with them.
Btw, thats my sister riding.
We have jumped done a bit of hacking out, some le trec gymkhana type stuff and some schooling. My sister has actually just started learning to jump in it, and has only ridden in it twice, would try before :D Shes actually asked if she can go to a gymkhana  shes only just back into riding again.
seems good so far, doesnt move, ive got on and off it and so has my sister and its fine. Were using a half pad as the pony does have slight muscle wastage from the riding school she was loaned to
The leather is quite stiff as its indian, but should supple up, although I think I nearly cut my finger on the girth strap :(
The seat is a little hard and im definatly going to need dressage leathers.

Looks good though! :D From the, off the horse, pictures I thought it wasn't going to be level but it looks great! :D It will soften gradually!

It looks to have a very high cantle but on the whole a lot better than I expected! The off the horse photos made it look very unbalanced but it looks ok on! :) It would be fun to hire a Port Lewis impression pad when you, me and Emily get together and test all our saddles :D

He he, I like that idea! Do better saddles hire one? I know Nix does.

Did I tell you (Chloe) that I am having the Fhoenix on trial in my christmas hols?

If you do hire a PL pad I'd be very interested in seeing the results. However, I'm VERY unsure about dealing with Silverline. A good friend of mine ordered some saddles at the beginning of January direct from them and she's received no saddles and no refund. The owner is now refusing to answer her emails and India isn't exactly round the corner! :(

Nix...*wheedling tone* I know your website says you only hire Port Lewis pads in conjunction with the Fhoenix, but for our experiment, would you make an exception? :D

Lol, I must reword the text on my site! I do hire the PL pad without the Fhoenix, so yup no probs ... let me know which date(s) you prefer and I'll check and see if it's free :).
