Mane Laying Advice Please

My horse's mane refuses to lay down but likes to stick up like a punk rocker. I have tried wet plaiting it and when he comes in from the field all the plaits will be standing up!! I have tried a mane tamer but that doesnt seem to work either. It always used to lay beautifully before it was pulled.
Any other ideas please??
I have tried letting it grow out to start again but it is still sticking up I havent pulled it in ages and have arranged for a pro to come and pull it for me in a couple of weeks. Any help appreciated

Hi I know how you feel. My horses main is on the wrong side and recently it's started to stick right up nearer his whithers. I don't know what I'm going to do. I was going to suggest let your horses mane grow a bit but you've already done that :confused:

I know it is such a problem I guess we will just have to accept we have Mother Funky Horses!!! :D

Mine started at the opposite end near his ears he got nick named jaws bless him. I am hoping having it pulled properly will help I can then keep plaiting it and hopefully (fingers and everything crossed) it will stay down!
