Ah, ok. Our local area is starting up a Polo X group for the summer holidays. Only, we're not sure about something, and perhaps someone here knows the answer to my question/worry.

You see, my mum, sister, myself, and our friend, all ride bareback, with pads. None of us have ridden in a saddle for between 12 - 24 months, and aren't keen to hop in one again.

Not one of us can find anything that rules against riding bareback in a polo game - probably because no one has ever asked to - but does anyone know where we can find Australian Polo X rules to check out?

Yeah, any help would be thankfully received :p

I doubt very much you will able to play polocrosse without a saddle for saftey reasons.
Its great fun though, and deffinatly worth a bash! :D

I don't think there are any rules about what type of saddle you have to use, but as for not using one at all I am not sure! It may be allowed, but you'd want to have a pretty secure seat!

Perhaps you can contact the Polocrosse Association of Australia to inquire?
