I recently adopted a horse from a rescue and after having her a month (and a pretty serious fall) decided to put her in professional training. While there for 2 weeks, the trainer who is also my riding instructor, told me that she was just not a good fit for our family and would probably never be safe for my kids to ride. She was very nervous and high strung, and I am pretty green so she just could not see it working out for me. I sadly had to return her to the rescue just over a week ago.

Now the good news. My trainer let me know of another horse at the barn for sale (see picture) and we have purchased her and she is WONDERFUL! She is a 4 year old draft/paint mix named Mystic. I have ridden her twice and my oldest daughter once and she was so gentle and well behaved. My girls are very excited for their next lessons tomorrow. I just wanted to share!
