My new treeless saddle for the little one is giving me grief, its slipping about all over the place, mostly forwards
Non- slip pads dont seem to work, ive tried a half numnah and a prolite riser, just bought a new girth that is a tad bit small because pony keeps breaking into the non grazed bit of the field and is now a whale
Got my friend out to ride her today as im planning to get her to show the little oneand friend had to do an emergency dismount as pony took off, bucked and saddle came onto the neck.
really dont want a crupper as i want to show and havent got a d on the back of the saddle for it, although I could probably put on one from the guidance of my saddle lecturer.
She has a bit of muscle wastage still from a badly fitting saddle the riding school put on her when she was on loan to them , the new girth is a professional choice type of girth, but made by shires.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Sorry to be boring, but I'd go for a crupper until she's built up a bit :)

Crupper - the only thing that keeps Ebby's saddle in place! You don't need it for showing/schooling, but as we have 'extreme' hills around here it is a god send - though one time I did forget it but stayed on!

Have you tried on the Barnsby grip pads? Mine should be arriving next week - if it's any good I shall report back.
