This might sound really stupid but i'm about 5ft.6 and i'm wantin to start riding would a 13.2 be to small for me?? Its just i don,t want anythin massive for my first pony!?? Please Help. Thanks x

You should be absolutely fine as long as the pony isn't a tiny, fine little thing. I'm 5'5 and my mare is 13.2 and build like a tank - she takes up my leg fine, and I certainly don't feel big on her!

I think it also depends on how much you way and how much weight the pony can carry.Native ae usually very good weight carriers.

i get confused with hands i dont understand them. I fink the situation is a little different tho im quite small for my age. Im 14 and im about 5 ft
can any1 explain hands for me.
Also i get get skitted for my height sad :( :'(

Hands are what horses are measured in, there are 4 inches to a hand. :)

no mate a foot is 13 inchesd that would be 1 big horse lol

Yes, so if a foot is 12 inches and a hand is 4 inches and there are three fours in 12 then there must be 3 hands in a foot? - I did fail maths O level so I could be wrong :D !

I think this would make a 15HH pony 5 Foot...
