Hello everyone, I have been riding saddleseat for 1 year, I have never ridden before, My problem is my horse( he is a MORGAN)dose not want to pull his head in, he sticks his nose way out where it is not suppose to be, I tryied everything, dose any one out there know how to correct this problem I know it is part him and part me and he knows what he can get away with as I am a softy when it comes to disapline.Hope some of you can help thanks Miriel

I assume you're trying to get him to go onto the bit? Are you sawing the reins in order to achieve this, or training him to go up into the bit using your legs? If you saw at his mouth, he will probably respond by pulling against you, or dropping his head and hollowing through his back and neck.
Loosen your reins, and use active leg contact to encourage him to go up into your hands. Use half halts for balance and don't try and speed up until you are completely controlled and balanced.
