Just wandering about the internet and I became intreagued by the indoor driving trials site.
Anyone been and seen and done it?
It looks like it might be a fun thing to have a go at.

Seen it, but never done it. Would like to start though, one of my ambitions! Ideal for the little guys as there is no marathon so they don't need to be quite as fit as they do for the outdoor events.

I am trying to talk a friend into it, we only need to take one vehicle and lots of ponies as we are not all in the arena at once, so it is a viable event for us without having to transport lots of carts. Mind you we can fit 3 Shetland vehicles into our big trailer and at least 3 ponies into the other one.
It might be fun!

Indoor Driving trails is Fantastic and it is a great way to enjoy the sport of trials without the long road and tracks and the ever daunting and tasking obstacles.
There is a short and easy dressage test followed by a cones course. The course. After that you two obstacles which are then reflagged to be driven again.
The one with the lowest score wins.
All done in one day rather than 2 or 3 and there are plenty to attend up and down the country.
Great fun to watch as well especially if you are there to cheer someone on.
Due to my tyre half coming off my wheel at Windsor I have been without a carriage to compete (Though Réné Schoop did offer to loan me one) however I now have my wheel back so I am off to Morton Morrell on the 17th December.
Is anyone else going to Morton Morrell ?

yes i'v been once, it was really fun, but not as fun as normal outdoor trials because obviously there is no proper marathon but just obstacles. but it was really good and i would recomend it!!!!

Was hoping to have Kit up and running cart wise and do it with him. Never got to see the indoor ones.

Its great fun really, the only down side is they are held in the coldest of weathers so you do need to wrap up well. Plenty of thermals and woolly scarfs.
I enjoy them as it helps keep kyle active and fit enough to see the winter out ready for the comimng outdoor season.
If anyone is near Morton Morrell let me know and come along and say hello.
