Color question

Hi all

I have a color question.

My horse is the typical classic Arabian color…light gray with some darker ticking with the darker gray/black main and tail, she is an Arab welsh cross and she has been bred to a black and white pinto welsh. If possible what would the color combo make?? Or is one color dominant over the other?

When I bought her she was not sold as a bred mare!! she is trained to drive, thats why I bought her. Apparently the guy we bought her from sold her cause she came up open last year. They bred her to the stallion and for some reason didn’t think it took and sold her. Now I have her and I had her PG tested by Vet and she is 4 months PG. I am sure hoping for some color on that baby!!

To know whether the grey or the pinto is likely to be dominant I suspect you'd need to know a bit more about the breeding of both the mare and stallion. If the stallion generally throws coloured foals theres a good chance that your foal will be coloured too. But whatever the outcome, remember a good horse is never a bad colour! I'm sure you'll love your foal whatever colour it turns out to be. Good luck.
