Of a mechanical horse cum training aid in the essex herts area??? Just a shot in the dark, remember an article in H&H about 18 months ago about it, but cant find any reference at all on their site, nor on google search.
From what i can remember its basically a saddle set up to go through four paces, supposed to be helpful for those seeking a better seat (me.... :o ).

Yes I have heard about it, several people on yard have too and we were getting several of us together to book up and use it, but this has not yet happened. If I can find out any more info I will post it and let you know.

Sounds very much like the equisimulator that Heather Moffet uses. Try having a look on her website as there are normally course dates posted. I think its http://www.enlightenedequitation.com/public/training.html.
Her equisimulator is in South Devon though. I'm sure that there is more than one in the country.

yep! it's near stansted and Michelle Cogger, a fantastic instructor and Prix St Georges rider will instruct you on it.... My friend books our lessons and so i don't have the number but will try and find out, we have half hour lessons, you take along you saddle, and strap it onto horse and off you go, its the most amazing lesson ever! you see yourself in the mirrors all around horse, and really get a better feel for your position....you start off in stages with michelle controlling the speed etc... but as you progress the mechanical horse is capable of listening to half halts etc on reins, and squeezes of your leg... is truly a fab experience, its around £20 for half and hour and it was a classical dressage instructor, Michaela Morris who recommended it to us, and was a brilliant recommendation, i urge all enthusiasts who want to achieve perfection in the position and riding to give it a go at least once. :)
