Anybody know of any good mud fever feed supplements?
We're talking about a feathered cob, who generally doesn't get it too bad, but just want to keep on top of things!
Thanks!

I didn't think mud fever could be prevented by taking a supplement. Its caused by the constant wetting of the skin and by tiny screatches caused by grit abrasion. The scratches allow bacteria to get into the skin causing mud fever.
Equilibrium equi-chaps are popular in the prevention of mud fever as they keep the mud of the legs, greatly reducing the risk of mud fever.

NAF do a supplement called Mud Gard, which is supposed to be very good. I think it stops the reaction that some horses get to the mud. For prevention and treatment, Nettex have just bought out a full range or treatments...De-Scab, Disinfect and Block, all of these have proved very popular so far and most people who used Camrosa have switched onto it.
