Can anyone tell me there thoughts on Camrosa. What did you buy it for and did it clear up the problem??
Captain has greasy heel and I have every potion and lotion you can think of to try and soothe and clear. A NR member has pointed me in the direction of Camrosa. My main worry is that it is not cheap. :( I just want to make sure it is just not another potion to my collection!! If it works I will definately invest in a few jars. I would love Captain to be sore free.

It makes excellent hoof grease but so does ordinary hoof oil. I bought some a couple of years ago to use on my boy. It says on the instructions that you mustn't use it if there might be infection. I used it & there must have been so I ended up with a horse with a bad skin infection that spread rapidly down his neck ( I gather that this is what it does the infection runs along under the skin ). Would never use it now if there was even a slight chnce of there being infection & with greasy heel or mud fever there might well be so steer well clear.

I think that it is great stuff for sweet itch as that is all I have used it for. Its well worth the money.

I bought my horse a numnah that was sheepskin lined and she was allergic to it, got very itchy and lost the hair on her back - camrosa worked a treat! You must follow the instructions to the letter however - ie wash the area with their shampoo first etc. Its also very messy stuff.
I have seen some posts regarding metal poisoning however so there are some doubts about it. I however see my pot as part of my first aid kit. I am sure it is fine inthe short term to to treat various things. Why don't you give them a call they are really helpful?

Thanks I think that would be a option. I just dont want to be sucked in by their sales techniques. £25.00 worse off and another pot of tried that.

My mam's horse had really severe mud fever and we had tried everything...to us Camrosa wasn't expensive as we hadn't been able to ride him for months and you could tell he was in discomfort so we were literally pulling our hair out because the condition just wasn't clearing up. We left it on for about one month (i think?) and when we washed it off there was just pink healthy skin...whey!!! and this winter there hasn't been the slightest trace of any mud fever.
I also mentioned on another post that we put it on our dog's back as she had badly infected skin from licking it so much and it cleared that up too....so basically I think the stuff is amazing but as with everything I can't guarantee that it will work for everyone. But I would give it a go because like I said it completely cleared up the conditions mentioned above....hope that helps.
