Temperamend Solution - Hilton Temperamend combines tried and tested herbal extracts to create an ideal blend for use with horses of a nervous disposition or those reacting adversely to periods of intense training or competition. Contains Valerian, Chamomile, Vervain, Meadowsweet, Golden Rod & Hawthorn.
Has been tried with 4 different horses I know and worked well for all.

I've got Saff on that at the moment ... I don't know if it's working or not to be honest, she's a LOT spookier than she ever was but I don't know if that's down to the colder weather, her being 6 or the calmer (she's a sensitive sould and reacts badly to things ...)!
I've heard good things about Cal-Mag (though I've not tried it myself). 'Rumour' also has it that feeding a forage based diet (ie no hard feed) is good for keeping the character without the fizz!

I've just had a breakthrough by changing feed, and although it's still a cereal based one, the difference in my Saff monster is pretty clear to see.
She's so chilled out, not half as spooky and way more attentive in her work - still Safi with her work evasions...but without the explosive strops. Had a great hack out on her, including a couple of absolute blast gallops....and no bucking or being stupid.
The yard owner has an Andie stallion and suggested we tried it together about a month ago, results good enough that she's put her other two WB stallions on it and other liveries have asked to go on it too.

maybe it's just the Luso's telling us they don;t like the wet weather. :(
