Can Any Help?

I have a 6 month old filly foal who is fully weaned stabled at night and out in the day and she is on shavings, wet hay, haylage and mix/sugar beet (was on apple chaff).

She has been couthing for about 3 weeks now started off abit and now is coughing alot. She coughs mainly when eating her dinner abit when eating has and if she is just walking round the stable.

Once she is outside she doesnt cough as much but still does.

Had vet out she is on antibiotics been on them 3 days but only abit better.

Trouble is she wouldnt let vet examine her at all so could only listen to her cough from a distance.

He said put her on antibiotics for 6 days if no change call him back and he will sedate her.

My questions are could it be copd ive never heard of it in a 6 month old foal though???

She was wormed nearly 3 weeks ago with 100kg of equest (under did her as is regualry wormed. She has been wormed every 4 weeks since she was born with eqvalan. any ideas on this????

Any help would be great thanx

My mare has to take antihistomines (mostly in spring and summer) as she's allergic to lots of different things. I give them a few times a week, and she no longer coughs at all. I wonder if your little filly has developed allergies? Hopefully, she'll allow the vet to give her a thorough exam. Best of luck!
