an odd question - but how well do you think we would do at showing if we gave it a go? i have always thought she is a bit of a squiff but someone has said she is really well built. Is she?
Obviously she looks completely scruffy in this picture! :D

take a peek at the EPS site where it says loads about what an exmoor should look like etc :)
you planning on taking her to an exmoor only show or a general m&m thing?
ive done a tiny local m&m with angel, we came 5th of out 12 and i swear half of that was the 'exmoor novelty factor' - being an exmoor seems to help :D

oh god - nothing big! probably just the village fair! :o
i have to work on her behaviour before then - bolting and shying does not score points in the show ring!

I think you wont look out of place at all for local level showing.
As long as youve practised your individual show and read up on correct turnout you'll do fine.
Notpoodle I dont think you got your placing on novelty factor, maybe you just did really well under a good judge?! Having shown Exmoors for a long period of time some years ago I must admit that the Exmoor could sometimes be very much the underdog. As they are so rare some judges really didnt know much about them or how to judge them and I would often find myself chucked on the end of the line up! We had an Exmoor who would be last at the local show but she then went on to qualify for Olympia.
Anyway dont let that put you off.Over the years the quality of ponies forward and experienced judges has very much improved.
Anyway, enter the show and have fun! Thats what its all about!
