All Equestrian - I'm at Hartpury at the moment doing Equine Sports Science. Which is your favourite out of the ones you applied for?
Good luck to everyone applying to uni - I dont envy you!

RAC... hartpury was my second choice, but they offered me the same as RAC so it can't be my insurance, which will have to be either lincoln or rodbaston...

ive got 5 offers now :) and an interview
That's precisely what I've got - 5 offers and the 6th have invited me for an interview and they'll make up there minds after that. The difference is that all mine are Geography or GIS instead of Equine. If you'd told me that a year ago I wouldn't have believed it (still was planning to apply for Equine Science a year ago) but that's how it goes

Heya not really an equine course and I doubt many of you remember me on this site but I've been on here and wanting to be a vet since I was 13 and now have two offers for vet med courses from Cambridge and Bristol!
Am very pleased! (now all I need is AAA at a level  )

I'm thinking of going to Lake Erie Colege in Ohio, USA. I guess it is a nice little private school, but has tons of equestrian degrees. Has anyone ever heard of it, or have a good college in the united states?

That's fantastic news Mazpup :D I wish you the world of luck for your A2 exams this year! Vet school would just be amazing - part of me wishes that I'd carried on aiming for that, but I know it was beyond my realistic capabilities.
So, where are you favouring, Bristol or Cambridge?

I've got my offer from Hartpury for Sept. 2006 for my MSc in Equine Science :)
Jumper 4 Joy - have heard Lake Eerie is nice :)
Other schools near that have good equine courses are: Findlay College, Midway College (that's all-girl though...ick :p), Miami University...
Wilmington College is a VERY small private college in Ohio, it's where I go. Our Equine program is only about six years old, so still growing, but it's a really nice program and I've enjoyed every bit of it. We have a lovely 24-stall barn, big indoor and huge outdoor. It's actually an Agriculture major with Equine Concentration but I've learned a lot of Equine stuff. It's not primarily focused on riding, though, but the sciences (just thought I'd suggest it)

Ooo, I had a full ride to Lake Erie but parents wouldn't let me go. I LOVED that school!!! GREAT program, FANTASTIC horses, AMAZING level of instruction.
Also at Wilmington (to add to Kalypso's post), it isn't just an ag major with equine concentration. Lots of students pair a business major with an equine MINOR (or, as in my case, a communications major with public relations and journalism concentrations, equine minor). It ensures that you can still finda job somewhere if the equine industry doesn't go in your favor one day. ;) Plus, having a business major might give you that edge in running a stable, a communcations major could get you nearly any position in the equine industry, accounting major could really boost your ability to get on with a huge facility, etc.

Thanks Kyanya. I'm favouring Cambridge as you can't really turn it down, being such a good uni, plus I've visited it and its lovely there.
Now I've just got to kill myself with all the work, although getting offers is probably the harder part.
Good luck with geography!
