Just seen an ad for a working pupil position near to where i live. I tried it out for a week a couple of years ago and at the time my arm injury wasnt fully recovered. Thinking about re-applying, but i dont know whether she will have me back again, and i am now 33 years old.
I am in need of some honest, straighforward answers, i can take it!!
Awaiting your replies, cheers.

I am 32 and I am begining to look for a career change, once OH has finished being a student, and yes I think that some people can be negative about age for certain jobs. But there are several posatives, someone in their 30's might be considered more responsible, and if you have a driving licence then that could be a big plus, especialy as insurance will be cheaper for them if you are older. Also I think (or hope they think) that someone in thirties might also be considered as being more level headed and dedicated in their choice of career.
Also if you consider 33 to be too old, what hope will I have at 32

I do hope you did apply Rezzer.
32 is far from "over the hill". I got my FIRST horsey job at 36. I applied for a part time occasional job as yard assistant.....4 months later I found myself yard manager lol. I had no qualifications, only years of experience.
Never give up. Us "oldies" have a lot to offer.

Reading this with some forethought. What have you really got to loose rezzer by applying etc. They may not even have contemplated an older working pupil and so therefore challenge them to think about all the positive potentials over taking someone younger.
I am not into my forties and although do not feel over the hill, will now stay with my chosen career of the past 25 plus years, but if I was your age I would not hesitate about changing and taking the plunge.
You know you really only do live once. What is the worst that can happen you do not get the job, so then think about other options. No one is killed, no one is hurt or harmed. So you really thinking about it you have nothing to loose only everything to gain - so apply give your best shot and if not picked for interview etc, then that is their lose, not yours.
Good luck!!!!!
