ok thanks i thought, that it was either a near leopard or dark bay with spotted blanket, but if it lightins out it will be a near leopard, (hoping he wont as i love his colour )

I now have this photo as my PC desktop at work :)

Yes I agree with you both on the dark bay with spotted blanket. It is a very nice example of what is probably my favorite Appaloosa markings.

I think we have similar tastes - I have my eye on either Private B Riker http://www.themendipstud.com/riker.htm r Joe Glow http://www.aphcuk.org/stallion_joeglow.htm or a future foal from my mare :D

(PBR seems to have roaned out a bit see http://www.aphcuk.org/stallion_privatebriker.htm which is more the colour he was in Sweden... so it might be Joe Glow is a better bet for the colour...)

cvb,

They are both very nice, I think I prefer Joe Glo's markings but it would be a close thing. Would this be to put Fifi in foal?

The other day I noticed that there was what seems to be an Appaloosa Breeder (or atleast a stable with a very large number of Appaloosas) on the A616 near Crow Edge (south of Huddersfield) - might have to drive by slowly with my camera next time I'm up this way.

Beautiful babies, adorable at that age aren't they? :p
Are you in the Canterbury region? Your background looks almost west coasty :)

Hehe, she would have to have the nature and patience of an angel to put up with Cheeky as a foal! Believe me, he's ten now and still acts like a two year old!

Definitely! Look in the Cafe area "Christmas Eve ride: New Zealand style"
He's in there, he goes that light colour in summer, and darker in winter :)

Lucky! I'm going for a drive through there on either New Years day, or the second depending on how hungover I am. I'm camping in Nelson for a few days, then driving through to Picton to visit my brother and driving home down the coast. :)
