i am going to get one for my dorky little pony as she gets cold when out for a walk in winter (our hacks seem to just consist of walking for some reason...) so am going to get her a sheet to keep her nice and warm :D
i wasnt planning on spending over £25 - it doesnt need to be waterproof, although this wouldnt put me off buying a waterproof one, and must have some sort of fleece/wool lining to keep her warm.
any recommendations? :)

equafleece do exercise and quarter sheets. they are flourescent fleece, very warm and also water repellant! i have one of their numnahs, am ordering up the quartersheet this week. its fab coz it rolls up and sits behind your saddle, then when you feel you need it you just unroll it. it attatches to your girth straps and also has a belly strap to keep it down in windy weather. but it may be a bit out of your budget at £47. check out www.equafleece.co.uk

They are seriously nice  - the pony size is only £37
but it is out of my budget, and i MUST stick to it (have got all my budgets worked out - get that for money management :p )
shame :(

I personally prefer quarter sheets as they don't mess with your saddle at all. But if you want the type to cover you as well, then you need the full exercise version.
I have a fluorescent "net" type exercise sheet I used to use - good for visibility, not too hot, not too cold etc etc.
Is this for warmth, rain-proofing or... ?
Robinsons used to do quite a nice lightweight quarter sheet that came with a light that you could clip on the back for those dark winter evenings.

Exercise sheet/quarter sheet ... either really (i dont want the type that covers me - they just look plain goofy (sorry)
because H is such a wuss and gets cold in winter, she wears a medium/heavy rug (its between the two really)
when shes not very fit in the winter our hacks just consist of long walks, and last year she did tend to get cold when her extra layer was taken off - the exercise alone is not enough to warm her up.
I dont ride in the rain, so it dont really mind if it's waterproof or not. I just want something that will keep her warm (and therefore hopefully less fidgety, which she understandably does when she's cold)
Hi-viz would be good, but again not essential as I have a tabard and leg bands, plus there is minimal road work anyway.
I was thinking about this one actually - but cant see any fillet string - do all exercise sheets come with fillet strings? because it would be a bit scary if they didnt...

Happiness - I have a navy Masta one for sale if you are interested? It is an x-small, supposed to fit up to 14hh but a bit small for Rupert (13.2hh) but would imagine it would fit Happy. Only been used twice, showerproof outer with fleece inside (have attached a pic). Pm me if interested. Not the one with the reflective strip, just has the Masta logo on.
