Came off June 2004 first ride out on him, didn't give him time to settle in, blame myself.

lovely horses and dogs. That bruise is massive and a good reminder of why I wear a body protector :D

I don't wear a body protector, but can't think why after seeing that bruise! Lovely animals though - I also assumed you were female.

Yea after not riding for 9 weeks I had to start from the beggining with him, I was nervous, I went out for an hourish on my own, mixed riding over narrow wooden bridge, over dual carrigway bridges etc, crossed 3 busy main roads, anyway got back to the stables, looked into my stable and on top of my box was my ""HAT""  I remembered everything except my hat, the second time he had me off was cantering along the canal path, rolled straight over on my bad shoulder, thank goodness I was wearing a body protecter with shoulder pads, he's had me off a few times and the body protecter has helped a lot, I recommend that everyone wears one, your a long time out of the saddle while mending which is extremely frustrating never mind the time off work, my daughter moans about having to wear hers but knows I would moan like hell if she didn't wear it :)
