Hello!

I might possibly be going to work in France for a year or so in the not too distant future. Obviously i want to take my horse with me. Does anyone know about what is necessary in the way of quarantine when travelling to France from the Uk, then back to the UK?

bye!

hello!

Stewart, Tango and i may still be going to France next year. i found out the info that I needed from the MAFF.

So long as your horse has a proper ID sheet (either a breed passport) or a special sheet that the MAFF provide and you can show that either your horse has been vaccinated against, or has not been in contact with horses with African horse Sickness and a few other nasties which aren't prevailent in the UK, then you can go abroad with your horse an dbring it back to the uk so long as it still hasn't been in contact with any infectious horses. If it has, it needs to be isolated for 30 days then can travel back.

so there you go, it looks like horses can travel through Europe no probs, but does anyone know the rule for husbands?

bye!
