Winter defo here, Max in stable at night now, also has to have mw rug  In mornings I have huge jacket on then when I'm out riding I get super hot and with mucking out! I need a magic jacket that changes with my heat alternatively a selection in the tack room :) Also would like a balaclava that I could wear over my riding hat for when we come out from woods into howling cold wind it hurts face and ears.. who needs Botox eh?!

Last year I wore a big wooley hat over my riding hat to stop the wind going through the cooling slots and making my head cold, Polo coming in at nights from saturday, I like to think of him snug in his stable when I am in bed at night, I think he would prefer to stay out though if given the chance, last winter was my first winter with him, he hated the stable to start with and tried to jump the door a few times and stand on his hind legs like a circus pony, I had to fit an extra bar over the door to put him off trying, he soon learnt what was what though and settled down, although he did get his foot stuck overnight in his hay net once, he has his hay from the floor now ever since otherwise I worry, anyway better for them as it's more natural less dust gets into their lungs.

Yep, I went and bought Pumpkin a stable rug today, only a lightweight one as he's not clipped, but its a nice thought that he's all warm and cosy in his stable tonight. He also had a mw turnout on today, for the first time.

Was freezing this morning, stood around at the RDA waiting for the children to ride, I had to cuddle the pony to keep warm :)

Well, over here it gets a bit chillier then in the summer by a few degrees, an am thankful for that when I start seeing these sorts of posts. The thing we have to worry about over here is high winds at times and lots of rain. :)

I had to scrape the frost off my car this morning. Is November always this cold? I mean I'm proper freezing everytime I step outside.

Sorry guys, it's lovely here right now. Not getting dark until nearly 9pm now, few warm spring showers, and we had 30 degrees C last Thursday and Friday! ;)

Who? Me? My location is by my name up there. I live in a different hemisphere, therefore different seasons...
