Since fall and winter is coming up fast ( in New England anyways), I know I'm going to be needing some gloves. (I am also posting this in 'General'.) :) Anyways, I am going to the store this Saturday, but the woman there said that all they have are cotton and English style gloves. Well, I was just wondering. Exactly what kind of gloves to western riders wear for everday riding in the cold? And do you know of any websites where I can see/order them? Thanks!!! :)

I usually wear insulated deerskin gloves. State Line tack should have them or Tractor Supply Company or any western store that has a web site. There is a big one that starts with an S, but I can't remember what it is now. Happy Trails

Ok ,this is going ot sound weird, but I swear by Isotoner gloves. You know, the kind little old ladies use to drive? When I used to go riding with my best friend, my hands would always freeze. She had got some Isotoners from her Grandma as a gift ( see! :p ) and told me they worked awesome. Well, for Christmas that year, she bought me a pair.
I have now had that pair of gloves for 7 years and they are still nice! Haven't bought any of those fancy winter riding gloves ever! They are always so bulky that I wouldn't be able to feel the reins- i like to feel the contact so that i am careful of pressure. So, I definately recommend Isotoners!

i wear a pair of fleece gloves that keep me warm unless they get wet...but this guy i knwo also wears the gloves outrider mentioned.
Ionylbought a pair of fleece gloves last year with the extra grip on them for english riding...but before that i use to wear fake fur lined ones in poland when temperatures went below -10 and they were the best...
