Being Happy riding

After all the misery of being an ignorant and vulnerable beginner trying to learn something new and even dangerous in later life, I wanted to show Laurajeane, other older novices and you good people who have helped us, that, after four years, here is me being totally happy on a horse. OH took it yesterday as I wanted a pic of my lesson horse. I think I am trotting. Happy enough riding these days to risk being recognised and show you my childhood dream has come true.

well done, I am close to 50 and have a coloured cob named Rosie who I hack out on, we really enjoy going on long rides each weeekend (well I do can't speak for Rosie...)

What a lovely story - you look so relaxed! The picture in my avatar is me on Misty laughing hysterically after our first mad canter (she likes speed). Acquired her when I was 43 and she was quite a handful!

Discovering that it's " never too late to be what you were meant to be " has changed my life.... I'm just loving riding again after 20 year break:D .And reading all the posts on NR has turned me into an internet addict to boot! Think all of you look so HAPPY on your horses ... it's the best feeling in the world isn't it ?!!::
