Okay here are some pics, of various times of the year. We don't know his breeding at all - sellers just said Irish Sports Horse but they had no real idea of his background breeding or whatever. They think possibly by Magic Melody but never heard of the stallion?!

If he's registered as an ISH, he has to be at least 1/8 Irish Draught. Most ISHs are IDxTB.

He's a lovely looking horsie though... what ever he is :D

He isn't registered as that, on his vetting certificate its something like IDx not tb or not tbx. Can't remember and mums put it away filed so I can't find it! xxx

If he has any ID in him you can register him as an ISH, or so I am told.
I am in the same boat as you some think my horse is full TB some 3/4TB 1/4ID to be fair I think he errs on full TB. I would definately say your horse has some connie in him, looking at his feet I would say TB and his head anglo arab. But then again I am no expert!

Im no expert but i would have said IDx Anglo arab! He has a very anglo arab face and 'shape'!!! Very nice looking horse and very pretty colour!!!

ID x TB The square hind end and upright pasterns are a little araby in some shots but I think that's just a cross characteristic - those tall boxey front feet look quite TB.

I take it breeders over there are quite slack at marking their horses. Most horses here have brands of some sort.

Yeah I'd pretty much thought that too. Although I like to think, so lie to myself, that he has more ID in him...or better still that he has some exotic gorgeous breed in him like andalusian (sp) - well he is grey.....

Thoroughbred jumped right out at me in some of those piccies, particularly his head and shoulder angle, but the substance of bone suggests something a bit heavier. I would probably say IDxTB although I can see a hint of Connie in him too.

See his head is absolutely huge and it doesn't really look like it there. For example we cannot find a headcollar to fit him - his jaw is really deep... can't find an example to show you...umm

He came in a headcollar that was really old, so was pretty stretched and so as a result fit him. But since that died we have only been able to find one full sized headcollar that fits him...all the others are stretched on the last holes!! He has a big noggin!! xxx

hes def got irish draft in him hes got the id head and body i'd say idxtb without adount,
is there know way you can find out his history from the dealers etc.. have you checked to see if hes id chipped??
he is alovely boy my sort :)

I think some sort of arabian and thoroughbred. He has an elegant look about him, for the arab and then he just reminds me of a TB.

Crikey! That's my Saffy!!!! I can't post a pic up from here cos work blocks piccies from photobucket :( but that second pic is DEFINITELY her :) ).

Chewit - I can't see the pic (blocked :mad: ) but from memory I'd say ISH too. When I had the Saffy Moo Cow vetted the vet put Connie x TB which is strange as she's registered and blood typed IDxTB!

It's strange you should mention an Andi, though, I've had people say to me that when Saff is doing her 'full height' business she has a look of an Andi! She certainly likes the 'airs above the ground' stuff :) Don't ID's have some 'Spanish' influence way back anyway?

Percheron maybee then in ref to the head size, would fit with the ear and colouring too. We have a percheron x that looked VERY similar in the head!

He looks like your typical ISH, probably TBxISH(IDxTB) if that makes sense. I can't see an inch of Connie, and I've never ever seen a Connie X make more than 16'! He's the spit of a light IDxTB I used to ride.

I dont know, I do see connie in there somewhere, but not as much as a full connemaraX. I dont know where exactly i see it more sort of his carriage in the pictures. I really dont know

lol it is soo interesting listening to what everyone thinks...I always just thought (and still do) ID/ISHxTB with slightly more ISH than tb but only because I want more ISH!!!

Well whatever he is I love him....even his goofy big ears and his huge soppy eyes!
