I just wanted to say be careful. I know we mostly think of chemical stuff to be harmful but the trouble with many of the herbal wormers is that the ones that are effective have pretty high doses of things that are toxic to the horse as well even though they are herbal. So before you use it make sure you know what's in it and how/why it works. ;)

can you explain why? id much prefer to use herbal wormer than use conventional wormer. i dont think my new horse will eat it for one, and i think herbs must be better for them.

Sorry, can't help. I didn't find a listing of active ingredients on that website. Wormwood would raise a red flag, etc. Do you have a listing of ingredients?

When it comes to harmful things like worms, I'd rather use chemicals. Worm counts are great and you only need to worm if the count comes back positive - Gill from Westgate Labs is lovely and really helpful and will be able to explain exactly how it works to you :)

Yeah, me too. I love to use herbs for things like nerves, sprains, inflammation and sore tummies.
Grow some of my own, make DJ's herbal tinctures, etc. so I am fairly pro-herb ;)
But herbs strong enoough to kill worms usually have some really bad side effects for the host critter too. The ones that are mild tend to be so mild that they don't do much to the worms either.
And overall I sort of like it when people tell me why their product is great and what makes it work so well rather than just being told that it's fabulous and that's it. :)
