just to put my mind at rest can you give your advice. my daughters pony is being moved to our field on the weekend. she has been in someone else place for a few years. dont know what her worming program was so i was going to give her equest and equitape to start her off and then equest every 12/13 weeks. would this be suitable? also in a few weeks i should be having another horse to keep her company. should i wait to worm the second horse so it coincides with the first (does that make sense:confused: ) it would be easier to do both at the same time. help appreciated

It is a good plan to worm the new pony as you suggest when she arrives. Whether you then need to continue with 3 monthly doses is another question. If you want to read about using a reduced worming programme then please visit my site where there is a page devoted to the subject.
When you get your second horse you will need to worm him straight away, unless you are very sure of the history and/or have a clear worm count from him. After that you can treat them at the same time, probably by extending the interval of the first pony's worming.
