Hi
Hope I not asking a silly question I use wood shavings for cedar so much easier to muck out etc but I was wondering why you can't use red wood shavings? I notice sometimes we have a little red wood in our shavings bags but someone told me you are not supposed to use them just wondered why that was

Thanx
Sandi

oh im not sure ....maybe irs to do with "red" shavings either being from the bark of the tree , so harder and dirtier ?? or maybe its from treated wood so not good for horses . i know my 2 love chewing tanalised wood as it tastes salty .

i'd love to know as well , just because its sparked the question in my mind also !!
