I had my 12th lesson today, regardless of how bad my week has been or how grim the weather is, as soon as i get on my mount (Rupert), I feel the biggest grin spread across my face, all my concerns of work and life retreat and I imurse myself into the lesson. I only hope that Rupert and my RI, find the time as constructive, interesting and enjoyable as they make my hour. Its the best time of the week, without doubt. Roll on next Sunday!!!.

Good for you, Paul!
Me, I'm well addicted -- I even find myself strolling down to the stables when I'm not riding, just to say hi to the horses and breathe in the scent! :o

Hiya
That's great to hear such a positive post :) Most of us only ever post to complain about when things go wrong :p

I know what you mean - it's a great stress reliever isn't it. I used to be a work-a-holic, now you can't keep me in the office!

Couldn't agree more - best de-stresser around .No matter how crap your day's been , just the smell and sight of a horse makes you feel great :D :D :D
Trouble is , it's addictive and I'm finding a weekly fix just isn't enough... I'm either going to be bankrupt paying for rides or owning a horse ...  :D

hahaa The YO was teasing me that I was gonna brush the hair off the lease horse. I'm there about every other day getting him used to being worked with again. He shuffles around sometimes but otherwise seems to like it.

Hee hee, its just a matter of time before your addiction takes over your life:D :D Its brill when you enjoy it so much. I know the feeling - now I am lucky enough to have my own - I am permanently happy (if a little tired:p ) There's nothing like being around horses to make you forget all the rubbish things you've had to deal with during your "other life" ie, at work etc.:)

It's great, isn't it? I had a big, silly grin on my face after my ride today...I had my game face on for the RI during. :) There is nothing like it...I feel the release of stress as soon as I drive onto the property.
So good for you Paul and enjoy the addiction! :D

Its great to read all the follow up's and know that there are so many of us who enjoy beaming from ear to ear. I, to enjoy just being at the schooling stables, I love the atmosphere and all the smells of the yard and walking down the isle talking to the horses (I wonder if they think I'm mad) I even chill out just being able to clean the tack and have just started helping out a horse owner who lives near me in mucking out and grooming her horse, I really just love the contact with (Milly, a cob I think) and learning her expressions. Yes, you are all right- I am now officially addicted and my only regret is that I should have started long ago.
