For some reason my little daisy has been coughing at the start of our ride about three times and will stop. This is the only time she coughs and she is UTD on shots. Could it be the colder weather?

Are you keeping her in at the moment? she could just be getting rid of the stable dust when she goes out

She has a run in shed and a big pen but the ground in her pen and the area I ride is sand so things will get kicked up. For some reason no one has indoor barns here.

If it's only at the very beginning of the ride this is probably quite normal. Horses often clear their airways at the beginning of work with loud explosive coughs - this rids the airways of any chunks of food or excess saliva\nasal discharge.

Yeah its only in the begining. I thought that was all it was sometimes she will have a little hay in her mouth when we start off. I was just a little worried.
