Seeking Information-please please read

I have (fantastically) just been offered the opportunity to ride and bring on some welsh b and british spotted ponies after I posted an advert on a web-site.
To be honest, I know a bit about welshies, but very little about spotted's. I've found some on the internet, but was wondering more about their temperament and uses.
As well I was wondering what sort of weight these would be able to carry (they're all in the region of 13-13.2hh and fit, although one is only just being broken). I know I'm going to be leggy on them, but I'm a bit paranoid about squashing the little cuties.

i dont know much about spotted ponies either but i know welsh ponies can carry quite a weight.

I used to ride a British Spotted called Raindrop. She was fast, forward going but so kind. Karen Basset used to, and I think still does, drive a team of them. Brave, intelligent sparky little horses.
