lotsofquestions

Please know that I enjoy your message board very much.
I have questions that I will post and hope that I can be led in the right direction:
Where do I find the latest definitive information on the genetics of sabino; specifically I would like to know if a gene for sabino has been found. Also, has a direct genetic corelation been established between sabino and overo, and where I would find this information. Am I right in assuming that sabino is an inherited trait? Is there no specific way to establish whether an animal with sabino markings will throw those markings or not, or how far into the future the sabino characteristics will carry, or back in the past an animal inherited those traits? Is there any information on where this coloration came from? Can the coloration (inherited gene?) ever be wiped out by trying to breed only solid colored animals (with one sabino ancestor or more); or is there always a chance to produce a loudly colored animal forever and ever?
I am sorry if I sound totally stupid on this issue, but the fact is I am. All help and information is appreciated.
