You may all know this but Borax will clear up thrush (in hooves!) - you can get it from chemists.
It's a natural mineral, dissolve 2 heaped teaspoons in a one and a half litre bottle of water (or two tablespoons in a bucket) and use it to wash the feet of the horse every day, i use an old brush or dishbrush to give a bit of a scrub down into the frog grooves. The thrush will slowly go away. It isn't instant but it does work. No more smelly hooves in the winter!
I have got it into open cuts and it doesn't sting, it is very a mild natural detergent and bactericide.
