I just found a site that shows you how to tie your own rope halter, (http://www.goddijn.com/halter/) does anyone else have something to show me how to make my own bridle head stall?

Ron Edwards in Australia ( Ramskull Press ) does a good book called "knots for horse lovers" in which there are instructions for a couple of types of rope halter and a rope bridle.
He has also written an excellent book called "Bridles - plaited and plain"
They can't be too difficult because old fumblefingers here can follow the instructions - with success!
They are just small books with lots of illustrations and very easy to follow; I am currently trying to learn complex circular plaiting from another of his books which really could not be better set out, and what I am producing looks just like it should (but a bit bumpy - I need practice!).
I have no idea where you could get the books from, though, if you're not in Australia.
Neither Amazon UK not US appear to stock it.
If you are interested, PM me or email me on esseesee@hotmail.com , and I will see what I can do ...
