Identify breed by blood test?

Is it possible to identify a horse's breed by blood test? I know they have DNA tests for parentage and things like that. I am so curious as to what my Axel truely is, that when I have the money I'd maybe be willing to pay for a blood test. :>

Some breed registries will take a DNA sample and try and match it to horses in their database, but you'd have to have some idea of what breed and probably have to try each one at a time, it would cost loads...
Here... possible, in the US though, I doubt it....
