What are the benefits of a small holed haynet.

It increases the time it takes for a horse to eat the hay/haylage.
They are generally used for horses that are good doers and dont need/cant handle large amounts of feed. The idea is that you want to avoid long periods without access to food so using a small holed net allows a smaller amount of hay to last longer.

I use small holed haynets if I didnt Maddison would eat her hay in record time and be left with nothing for the rest of the night!

Doubling up sometimes helps too! (one inside the other)
