As some of you know my circumstances changed recently and poor Peter has been put on hold and dropped from stable to grass livery. He is triple rugged and has been in a field where there has been haylage put out. He has lost some condition again do I can only assume that he is using the haylage to keep warm. I've up his feed and have arranged to bring him into the barn for ad lib hay as at the moment we seem to have turfed Rhi out of her stable for him :(

No one has said I have been neglecting him but I really feel like I have :'(

He just looks so sad. I lunged him yesterday and it was like he did not have the energy to move out of walk

Try adding some veggie oil into the feed - great (and cheap) way of putting weight on TB types without fizzing them up.

Mim, you are beating yourself up unnecessarily- I'm sure he is quite happy all rugged up and toastie with his hayledge, and was only 'lethargic' cause he couldn't be ars*d, and thought he'd pull the sympathy string!

Don't beat yourself up, you are doing the best you can at the moment, and he is fine I'm sure!
