k i bought my first horse she was great she was everything my mom didn't want me to get. she was a mare, was 6 years old (supposivly) my mom wanted a gelding about 10 years old huge difference. she was the color i wanted and everything she had a white face, one white sock and was a bay in color she slipped in the mud and i didn't even feel it when i rode her. she was not papered but i fell in love with her that day. The owner before me said she was part qh from her sire i believe that. the next week we were able to take her home when we came to pick her up the owner mentioned that she was only three years old and she had lost alot of weight in a week. her hips bones stuck out and all her ribs were showing she went right into the trailer though so i was glad about that.shes now a fat happy horse except that she is now powerful unlike the weak filly i brought home. except she is spirited and will not go into a trailer any more because of the horrible trip shes had on the last trailering the person went 20 km over speed limit in a city slamming on the brakes the whole time. advice about teaching her how to bathe trailer again and stop would be nice i never thought i would be training my first horse.

if you've got your own trailor, feed her in it. if she won't go in feed her near it, then progress to feeding on the ramp then a bit further in as she'll accept it,until you can feed her in the trailor. have the front ramp down if your trailor has one, then walk her through it once she'll go in and eat. progress to walking through without food, then once she's out let her watch you put the ramps up and down, closeing doors etc so she becomes familiar with the noise etc while she feels safe outside the trailor.
then get someone to try closing the ramp while your feeding her inside, if she's only happy with the ramp being lifted off the ground by half an inch at first thats ok, just progress as far as she's comfortable with.
this may take a while, give her as long as it takes and good luck with her:)

Boy O boy you have a set of problems there don't you..

Clicker training for horses would be a great option for teaching the bathing and trailering. It is an effective award based training method that can be a ton of fun.

Woah is a wee bit harder.. You really should get yourself a good instructor to help you there if you can. But resist the urge to put stonger and stronger bits on your mare. That will just start you down a super slippery sload!
You may want to pick up one of the books by a Natural horseman Like Pat Parellie or Chris Irwin

some basics are, teach her what WOAH means on the ground where you have better control. When in the saddle sit more into her kinda rolling onto your tailbone for lack of a better description say whoa and THINK stop. Keep your hands low and quiet and be quick to give when she does stop.
