ohhh i thought it was an extreme dressage/schooling exercise :o :o
not well up on treeless saddles, was reading an earlier thread on them, they seem quite complicated to the uninitiated:o

It was Heather Moffett's first treeless. A lovely saddle launched around 2003, but ceassed shortly after due to the Ansur lawsuit.
If you go to Heather's EE site, you'll be able to gather all kinds of info and feedback on the saddle.
I used one one my equisimulator course at Heather's premises. It is a beautiful, well-made saddle, very stable for a treeless and extremely comfortable, and very conventional like. I gather that Kay Humphries/Swain's Mondial saddle is very similar to this one.
The only thing I didn't like was that it felt a bit too chunky for me and my short legs.

not complicated at all, a lot easier for the mear mortal to get the fit right on their own.

thanks chapsi:)
do they go pretty wide at the front? thtas the only thing im worried about with it having a solid piece at the front.
kay humphries saddle is gorgous, but a little too expensive:eek:

This saddle is supposed to fit most horses, despite their width. I wouldn't worry too much on that.
However, if you go into Heather's site and query about it, somebody will give you prompt feedback. EE runs a very friendly on line help.

ive seen one on ebay and it looks a similar width to my konklusion at the front, that fits him fine.
a bit worried about it slipping tho, he has an ansur classic at the moment, fits him beautifully, but it quite wide and the long girth straps are causing a problem, thats hwy the gp supreme looks so good.

The good thing about the Supreme is that it's structure prevented it from slipping. I had an SBS and it slipped when I mounted.
OlavS had a supreme and he raved about its stability.
To be honest, if I had seen one on EBay I would have bought it, instead of my current saddle, the holistic tree St. Merryn.

Not at all, there are different types. Some completely treeless (like the SBS), some with a part tree (Fhoenix). Some look like a 'normal' saddle, some completely different. Unfortunately Ansur took a lawsuit out against Heather Moffett to try and bully the competition into submission. Their case was flawed but Heather didn't have the funds to fight a lawsuit (which she SHOULD have won if there were any justice in this world) in the States. Don't you just love the justice system?
Have a look on Enlightened Equitation where there are loads of threads on treeless saddles.
I've got the Flexion SBS though I did originally want the Supreme as it was more normal looking. If I had the money and there was one for sale at a reasonable price I'd buy it. They hold their value pretty well so you could always sell it on if you didn't like it (and even treeless saddles don't suit every horse/rider).
