if you are on diy livery & the yard doesn't offer extra's you could see if anyone else at the yard would like extra chores doing , such as mucking out ,tack cleaning etc

definitely extra money to be made on a yard!
i quite happily pay people to tack clean, groom (as in coming to a show with me), plait etc... draw up a list of services you could offer to people and put on a notice board.

What about selling things on ebay if your parents will let you?

Or if you can draw doing animal portraits?

You could learn how to make ribboned browbands and sell those.

My usual suggestion is to take out several credit cards that offer you free cash, take the cash and cut the cards up, but you're a bit young. ;)

There are plenty of ways, just find something you are good at and enjoy. :)

My teenage neice has a nice line in tack cleaning. She started with other owners on the yard and now she advertises her service in the local tack shops. She does regular weekly cleaning and special cleans for shows. She is very good at restoring badly neglected leather to pristine condition with plenty of elbow grease and Auntie's secret recipe home-made saddle soap. She has also rail-roaded Auntie into providing a collect and deliver service in return for free tack cleaning.

She did her research into both cleaning techniques and the market and does very nicely out of it. However, she actually likes cleaning tack and is very good at it. She is also very sharp about insisting on getting paid on time - cash on delivery - as she found that one or two of her early clients tried to take advantage of her youth and inexperience!

Design and print a leaflet on the computer at home or at school rather than a scrappily hand-written one. It will impress your prospective customers and make them more inclined to employ your services if you look professional.

Whatever you do, don't ride other people's horses for payment - it will foul up your insurance should you have an accident.

I know your credit card remark is really a bit tongue-in-cheek but it really is very irresponsible of you to make it, especially where there are impressionable people around to see it.

I happily pay (when I am flush !) £25 for a clip, £10 for bath and £ 3.50 a day for muck out and turnout to a youngster on our yard
We always try to arrange vet's and saddlers visits at same time to share call out fee. We buy wormers in bulk to take advantage of special offers.
Baby sitting is always a great way to earn some extra cash , as is delivering free local newspapers ( but not today- its snowing !)

Hmm .. I am looking for little jobs to make money - I dont want to work part time at a store (even though I am 16 lol) .. I like the idea of tack cleaning and think I will give that a shot (thanks for those who mentioned it) ..

I would suggest what has been said .. ebay is a great way to make money.

Walking dogs? I have tried this but everyone who has a dog seems to think that they are fit enough to walk them themselves hehe :p
