wow!! i cant belive i did it!!!

i was finished mucking out so i got skittles down and attached his lead rope to his halter and got on him and rode him round the bottom half of the feild while mam and dad were fixing fences up the top. any way i started to get hungry so i decided that i'd give him a good trot up to his paddok and then get off him. so i turned him round and kiked him on and all of a sudden he just broke into a beutifull canter!!!:D i've never rode a canter before (even with a saddle) without falling off and mam said i sat it realy well.
i just wanted the feild to go on for ever!! but when i got to the top mam made me get off cos there were some people shooting in the alotments:( but i'm definatly gunna do it again tomorrow it was great!:D :D

Yes I can confirm that she did canter from the bottom of the field to the top, I turned round to see skittles cantering towards me and my heart hit my stomach, I walked forward to stop him but becca was grinning from ear to ear and said no don't stop him mam, I can honestly say I have never seen anyone canter bareback and look as secure as she did:D

Well done!! The worst bit about cantering bareback is when you come back down into trot and if your on a very bouncy pony it can be a little uncomfortable to say the least!! :D
