Rode Another new horse yesterday, Kappa, she was bigger than those I've been riding recently, but when my RI asked how I felt (it was nice to be asked) I said, she feels like she fits me! And she did!! :)
Recently i've been riding smaller 'plods' since joining the new school I'm not sure they've known what would suit me best or my ability. Which is ok really, it was nice to get a bit of extra confidence after the 17.3 VERY stubborn TB i'd been riding in my old RS.
Anyways... after initially struggling to assert myself with Kappa - or wake her up - She responded really well to go into trot etc and we had some great trots around the menage. :D
I have been riding with my daughter (aged 6) but RI asked me after if this is a 'do it together thing' or if I'd consider lessons alone. I've had lessons alone in the past, and said of course...
So she said weekday - on Kappa- and get me cantering! :D
Seriously though, I have been thinking the last couple of weeks we needed to split, as Erin is still shy of kicking enough and getting into trot, so we spend a fair bit of the lesson encouraging her on... not that I mind! but you'll know what I mean.
Erin will be doing some lunging in her lessons. :) so she'll benefit too.
Well, thanks for lisenting to my ramblings! :D My DH gets a 'glazed' look these days when I gush about horses! hehe
