I have put this in this forum as I am hoping that some Mum's/Dad's may have the answer. My daugther has a forever changing shape Shetland. We had a saddle but jasmyn never felt secure in it and Bonnie has changed shape. So we put a cub saddle on. It has meant we dont have to worry about Bonnie's shape and Jasmyn has gained confidence as the handle is there just in case. But Jasmyn is 8 and her bottom is getting too big for the cub saddle. What saddles are out there which are about 14" and similar to the cub in the way it moulds to the shape of the pony??? It doesnt have to have a handle as I can use a strap and put onto the front D rings. But it will need a D ring at the back of saddle for a crupper...

Oooooh, now i saw one the other day, think it was a wintec but not a cub.longer than the cub, so 14 i think, and made of something very flexible....will see if i can find it, hang on!

Here we go, not sure if this is the one you already have, or if you have the smaller one.

It's 14" rather than the 10-12" that cub type saddles are, it looks more like a 'normal' saddle and offers more support. It is completely treeless being made from one molded rubber piece, so there are no fitting issues.

Thorowgood,s pony club Grifin or Maxam saddle is good. Frances' kids of 9 and 12 still fit in it, I't 15 inches and fits most of the guys we have. It is a proper miniature saddle,

Pedilia I think we might have a "clover saddle" not sure I'd have to look. It's like a cub/colt but has a proper tree and panels, it has a fixed handle at the front if that's any use? I really would have to go and upend myself in a box to see if we still have it though,

Perdita - I like the look of that one. Where is it sold and what is it called??? Do you have a link please??? I bet it costs the earth knowing my luck!!

Wally - I was thinking about the Maxam but would prefer to go treeless, then it will fit better. These Shetlands are expensive when they forever change shape. One day I can look at her and think oops bloated I can feel a diet coming on and then the next she looks ok...

I'm sorry, I haven't got a clue!:( Just saw it mentioned on a thread on another forum, no mention of name or retailers, best bet would be to contact wintec themselves I suppose?
