Another Adult pony rider here

Hello, new here. Just taken on a new share, a 13hh Conne/welshie x and he's brilliant! Always ridden larger ponies before but am having so much fun on this little chap. Forgot how much fun little ponies trots were and his canters bring a big grin to my face:D You can keep your horses from now on it's little uns for me!!

I recently bought my first pony, she's 14h 1", Irish cob, very dark bay.

Well I agree with you ponys are just the best. I have an irish cob, my daughter has a highland cross and we also have a connemara cross as well. So well and truely pony mad!!!!
Other reasons for only ponies is that only being five foot tall horses are just big buggers really!!!! Also much further to fall and impossible to mount from the ground or even a mounting block. That is funny when you have to run the stirrup down lower to get on from the mounting block. So ponies for me anytime.

Awww... don't give up on everyone so soon. I'm fairly new here and LOVE it. I've really gained some much needed confidence, too.

I ride a 14.1 quarter horse mare. Hopefully, someday I'll be able to talk about her great canter, but in the meantime, I'm just working up to it.

I too have just taken the plunge into pony ownership- last horse was *just* a hoss at 15.1hh... this one is 14.2hh according to her life heigh certificate... nearer 14.3 and three quarters I think... feels like a mighty big 14.2;)

I let one slip through my fingers last week because I ummed and arrred too long but it's such a big commitment I didn't want to rush anything. I suppose that one just wasn't meant for me.........back to the classifieds. :D
