I have a 10h stocky sec a and a 12h finer show type sec b. I am 27, 7.5 - 8 stome and am 5ft4. I wish to take them to some dressage competitions this year. They both carry me fine, albeit I may look tall on them.

I was wondering if any one had any experience in doing competitions on such small ponies. Will I get taken seriously by the judges? I do not care what any body thinks of me so that is not a problem. Is it worth turning up? It would only be prelim stuff as they are both green. They both go very well, their paces and action are better than my 14.2 cob which I regularly compete.

Why not give it a go and enjoy yourself. I am certain your ponies would have a good time too.

Our local riding club has ponies and horses in all sorts of classes - haven't seen a 10hh pony (yet) but certainly 12.2 upwards. Only problem I can see is a 10hh pony having enough freedom of movement to please a dressage judge - but you should certainly be able to be accurate!
Go for it - and let us know what happens!
