Does anyone know a good brand of gloves for smaller hands? A small ladies on me usually leaves a good half inch of extra material at the end of the fingers! Thanks

What kind of glove?

The Roeckl (sp?) ones are very nice, and come in sizes such as 7, 7.5, 8 and 9 etc, rather than small medium and large. They aren't cheap - usually about £20, but worth investing if you're careful not to lose them. :)

Try kids' gloves, especially if you don't have long fingers they should fit you. I have a pair of child-sized gloves myself.

It is like daffy Dilly says. Here in the UK we have (or used to have) old fashioned glove sizes, a bit like shoe sizes. I took seven and a half.
Some upmarket riding gloves come in these same sizes and I now have two pairs of Roeckle goves in that size. I had a light pair and just got myself a warm pair.
But in the States wouldnt Ariat or an American brand be better for trail riding? I remember seeing a picture of Ariat gloves which tempted me.
Most of my riding has been done in woof wear fingerless gloves which would solve your problem of finger length, but would be a bit warm for Texas?

I guess I need to just keep looking. I don't know what size I am exactly. I think children's gloves are too small. Skib right now I'm trying to keep warm! In summer, I usually just don't wear any since it would be way too hot. btw, how are your vacation plans coming along? OH will know in 2-3 weeks whether he will be laid off or not! Waiting to hear is driving us crazy.

The pimple palm magic gloves are very good - they start small before you put them on but you can also get child size ones. And they keep you warm! ;)

Shires do a tan or black leather child's glove of which the large size fits me. They are smart but wear well. Also Mountain Horse's leather ones with the crochet back in various colours come in XS and fit my small hands.

Both come in at around £10 but "Horse" is giving away a pair of the MH with a mag subscription.

I had thos pimple palm magic gloves too... they fit almost any sized hand but they get holes in them very fast (within a couple of weeks!) so if you go for them have a few pairs to spare..
