Astra......14.2 Arab mare, 21 years old
Feed: Morning....handful of molassed chaff, scoop of Saracens Veteran Mix, carrotts and apples
Day.....ad-lib hay/grazing
Evening.....same feed as morning.......and 1 very large hay-net which is ad-lib size LOL

Work......winter, walking out in hand 3 times a week.......shoes are off and she's turned out for winter but, we go walkies with the dogs for a change and some stimulation.....and the occasional lunging session to blow the cob-webs away.......

Summer: Ridden 4 times a week for about an hour or maybe 2........and only 1 feed in summer as the grazing is good.

Think that's about it......

shearer is a 14.1hh, cobby type living out without a rug, ridden once a day but only lightly, he's fed half a scoop of dengie hi-fi, half a scoop of livery mix(saddlers own), and about a quarter of a scoop of speedi beet.

Shetland yearlings, ad lib hay/haylage, much as they can eat, then a feed of sugarbeet, oats and alfalfa once a day. Access to mineral blocks all the time.

Pretty much the same for the working Icelandics too and Fjords. 'cept in summer where they are on grass and grass only.

Jacob, 15hh HW cob, 8 YO - schooling daily and regular hacking. Two 1/2lessons a week.

1/4 scoop of cool mix, full scoop of mollichop, garlic and seaweed supplements twice daily at present because the grass is not very good this winter.

Salsa, 15.2hh TB, 7 YO. Usually schooled or lunged daily and regular hacks, with a 1 hr lesson weekly. At present, lunged and freeschooled due to illness.

Normally on 1/2 scoop cool mix, full scoop mollichop, 1/2 scoop speedibeet, garlic and seaweed suppliments twice daily. At present is on half feeds as meds are taken orally (tried feeding him a little mollichop and small handful of mix but he knows it's not "proper breakfast/dinner" and he won't eat it.. fusspot!), morning and evening.

Alex my 16hh MW cob (believe it or not) is exercised most days. And this includes schooling and hacking, and jumping once a week.
He gets:
2 x happy hoof
1 x econemy (pony/horse) cubes
1 x instant response mix.

Then mudguard for mud fever, sarc-ex for sarcoid, seaweed and garlic, and molassas coz the sarc-ex is not very nice!

Hes a nice weight and working nicley. Depends on the horse! Coz for what he does he aint getting enough some people say. But in fact he is.
